Job Description
Our client seek a Housing Specialist to conduct compliance interviews for Apartments lottery process.The incumbent would be responsible for implementing HUD Housing quality standards, Fair Housing regulations, and HPD guidelines in an accurate and consistent manner. This position will service low-income families and individuals, who may include homeless, elderly or disabled, to secure affordable housing and improved living. This position requires an individual that is detailed oriented and proficientreviewing housing application and documentation. Other Qualifications are as follows: Must be fluent in Spanish/English. Must have the ability to offer excellent customer service; Must possess excellent communication skills; Must have basic computer knowledge and be familiar with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook; Bachelor’s degree required or at least three (3) year’s equivalent experience performing housing related interviews, and/or compliance reviews. • RESPONSIBILITIES: • Administrative and clerical duties (filing, faxing, copies, updating the log etc...) •Review all income documentation, and HPD required forms • Administer the compliance interview and ensure applicants meeting income guidelines under HPD/ LITC regulations. •Update letters for applicants that are considered: Missed appointment, reschedules and disqualified. Start Date: ASAP Days/Hours: Monday-Friday/ 8:30 am-4:30 Reports to: Program Manager
