Minimum Requirements for the Job -
Working for this non-profit health plan, the Claims Processor is responsible for processing all types of incoming managed care (health plan) claims and ensuring that all claims are processed and adjudicated correctly.
Day to day the Claims Processor will review & analyze claims for routing, produce reports on production and claims inventory, and respond to provider claim inquiries by telephone or correspondence.
The next Claims Processor hired will have a High School Diploma or equivalent, 2+ years in a health plan claims processing environment, preferably in Managed Care, 3+ years in an electronic claims processing unit as a health plan or managed care claims processor. Additionally, the company is very interested in Claims Proccessors who have indepth knowledge of HCPCS, revenue codes, ICD-9, HCFA xxxx and UB-92 coding and forms.
