Minimum Requirements for the Job -
Working as part fo the Compliance Department, the Medical Coder will accurately review and evaluate coding on member claims. The Medical Coder will also complete audits and support risk adjustment projects. Using their coding knowledge, they will engage in administrative duties related to planning, scheduling and conducting coding audits and maintaining records of providers audit results for CPT and ICD-10 codes.
Medical Coders with experience to retrospectively analyze patient records will find this role a true professional challenge.
Who makes a good match for this position?
Coders with at least two years of coding and records/data analyzing experience in a health care setting, in-depth working knowledge of ICD-9 and ICD-10 coding, and experience with commercial data quality tools (e.g.DRG Grouper) to configure ICD codes, analyze, improve and control data quality.
