Bassist Wanted for Blue Moon Jam Session at Legendary Red Door (Chelsea) in Manhattan, New York For Sale

In the spirit of once in a blue moon this Friday July 31, and the fact that Red Door, the last remaining private / speakeasy venue NYC, is closing, we'll be hosting a last minute private jam session with fun and pro established musicians, and looking for a groove-oriented bass player to join.. This place has been a legendary rock n roll establishment in Chelsea for 35 years! Looking for proficient, in the pocket, fun and not too all over the place bassist into rock n roll, funk and maybe some afro-beat, to keep the train rolling in this an improv session. Venue has a full stage, lighting, we'll be doing a BYOB bar and you're welcome to bring a friend or two or other musicians (especially percussionist, we've congas). Among some of the bands / styles we're into: old rolling stones, velvet underground, pixies, stone roses, fela kuti, james brown, led zep, and good house music among others. Jam session will be from 9pm - 12:30am Friday July 31, and we'll be rotating players for about 30 minute slots or so (so you don't need play the whole time).
