Senior Policy Governance Officer - AIG (New York, NY) in Manhattan, New York For Sale
Position Description:
AIG has an opportunity in New York for a Senior Policy Governance Officer to report directly to the Head of the Policy Governance Unit (“PGU”). This role will be responsible for helping lead all ongoing activities related to the administration and maintenance of the AIG Global Policy Program. Main responsibilities include:
• Serves as a senior member of the PGU and helps lead efforts to implement policy governance controls and rationalize and simplify AIG policies
• Helps lead the development, rationalization, and implementation of policies and standards for AIG functions and business units
• Works with AIG functions and business units to draft and revise key AIG policies and standards
• Supports the Head of PGU in preparing reports and presentations for Senior Management
• Supports the PGU in administering the Policy Program through maintenance of key governance documentation and committees
• Collaborate with Business Partners to drive results
• Monitors performance and improvements in key metrics
• Oversees successful project execution and implementation
Position Requirements:
• Excellent leadership and influencing results skills
• Strong analysis and design skills
• Excellent oral, written communication and presentation skills
• Experience in Financial Services sector preferred
• JD or MBA preferred
• Strong PC and documentation skills, e.g., Excel and PowerPoint
• Ability to effectively and efficiently coordinate and manage deliverables on a global basis
• Ability to acquire new skills and apply these in challenging environments
• Policy experience is recommended
• Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and meet deadlines
• Strong organizational skills and proven ability to work independently
