Job Purpose: The Director, New Business Development will increase the volume of pitches and win rate, for all sectors with a special focus on Fashion, Retail, Healthcare and New Mom:targeted brands. The Director will drive the new business strategy and approach that will most positively add to Regatta. Key Responsibilities: Strategy/ResearchExecute an aggressive, relevant Business Development approach to include an action plan, insights and fresh ideas to identify key prospects in agreed:upon categories, recent clients, and non:competitive agencies.Customize an engaging offering to increase new proposal opportunities and successfully close Regatta new business pitches.Expand and maintain agencys CRM database of targeted prospects, including new and relevant categoriesmunicationsServe as primary new business liaison between Regatta and the prospect's senior team.Present compelling content that is clearly aligned to prospects' interests.Lead active and ongoing phone, email and other forms of solicitation to procure new clients for agency.Relationship buildingPartner with current and past client leaders to develop, activate and execute new opportunities; map out alum from existing and past clients who landed in new roles/companies, then develop outreach plans.Identify other agencies that are strategically aligned or complementary to Regatta's services and cultivate relationships to identify business opportunities.MarketingOffer guidance with Regatta's overall agency marketing to ensure efforts are aligned with targeted prospects and overall new business approach.Ensure Business Development priorities and strategies are aligned with overall agency budgets and priorities.NetworkingCultivate and develop high:level relationships through industry connections, knowledge, exposure, promotion, and other viable methods in support of agreed Business Development strategy.ManagementLeverage agency strengths and drive an understanding of prospective client needs, challenges, and culture with all Regatta staffers.Manage and evolve agency sales pipeline utilizing proprietary CRM system.Mentor and develop junior level talent via ideas and actions that propel Regattas new business approach.ReportingCreate monthly, quarterly and annual plans that include metrics and performance/revenue targets. Professional and Technical Experience:A history of strategic plan development, pitch management and hands:on implementation with blue chip prospects.Demonstrated expertise in creatively and effectively identifying ways to win new business.Proven ability to connect agencys service to client challenges, including best practices, lessons learned, information gathering and capabilities that lead to effective pitch content and communications.Experience in mapping outbound marketing activities to goals.Demonstrated capability to create materials that can ensure efficient proposal creation.Knowledgeable and passionate about brands, the partnership marketing approach as well as trends within the industry.Experience with successfully leading and collaborating with small new business pitch teams.Familiarity and fluency with current integrated communications needs and solutions and their impact on brands and branding.Demonstrated project management skills : ability to "do" and not just "delegate".Hands:on experience producing effective presentations.Ability and willingness to work effectively within a small agency structure.
