Financial Sales Consultant - Confidential (New York, NY) in Manhattan, New York For Sale

Reporting to the Vice President, Operations, provides a consultative approach to members in order to effectively recommend the various financial products and service in order to build relationships that will make the members primary financial institution.
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
Learn and utilize features and benefits" of credit union products and services
Meet with current and potential members to conduct interviews in determining deposit and lending needs
Strengthen relationship by identifying opportunities with members and/or refer to appropriate department
Cross sell credit unions services
Consistently achieve target sales goals
Participate in sales skills practice and coaching sessions
Facilitate new account set up
Verify membership eligibility
Check background and security and credit report
Order necessary member items: Checks, ATM or Debit Card then distribute proper disclosures to member
Analyze loan applications and credit bureau reports for additional opportunities
Participate in loan origination & booking in coordination with lending department and member.
Continue to build relationships by following up with new and existing members for additional sales opportunities.
Support SEG development activities as needed, including follow up calls from events, participating in off site visits and account openings.
Actively participate in our product knowledge training program
Actively verify and update member data
